leigh ann harris
Leigh Ann and her husband, Mike, have three children – Graham, Grace, and Sarah Joy. She graduated from Piedmont Academy where she spent two years in high school studying Latin. After high school, Leigh Ann earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia. Leigh Ann taught elementary school until her second child was born in 2001. In 2006, the Lord called their family to serve as missionaries and she began homeschooling their children. In 2014, the Lord brought Mike and Leigh Ann “full circle” back to Covington where they currently reside. In her spare time, Leigh Ann enjoys cooking and running.
melissa judson
Melissa graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Deaf Education and is certified in Deaf Education K-12. As part of her student teaching she taught at the Minnesota School for the Deaf. Since graduation Melissa worked as an interpreter and teacher of the deaf at various levels. She took further courses in ASL and interpreting at Harper College, and was active in Deaf ministry as an interpreter at various churches. Melissa and her husband, Tim, are blessed to be the parents of three boys. They have been homeschooling since 2003. Melissa delights in spending time in God’s Word and prayer. She also enjoys camping and mountain biking with her family. She is excited to share her passion and knowledge of ASL with her students.
kristin mcduffie
Kristin McDuffie comes to us with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University. She has over 15 years of middle school and high school Spanish teaching experience in Dallas, Texas. She is so excited about returning to the classroom after being home with her retired US Army veteran husband, 3 kids, 2 rescue cats, and her crazy white Siberian Husky aptly named Chaos. She lives in Loganville and is very active in her church and community. She has a passion for traveling abroad and hopes to start an annual trip for her Spanish students soon.
Sande Oliver
Sande has been married to her husband, John Mark, who also happens to be her pastor, since 1983. They have four grown children (two by marriage), and are the proud grandparents of Selah, Eleanora, Asher, and Teddy. Sande learned the Spanish language and culture in her home from her Cuban daddy and Mexican nanny. She earned her BFA in Acting from U.S.I.U. School of Performing Arts and her teaching credentials from Columbus State University. With twenty years in both public and private schools, she has taught Theatre, Public Speaking, Spanish, and Bible. Besides being “SoSo” to her grandkids, her greatest passion is studying and sharing God’s Word.
